Privacy policy

This site (toolhonk.com) is run by ToolHonk(“we”, “us”). It explains software and partner programmes, and some pages link to them using affiliate links. This policy explains what data is collected when you visit and why.

What we collect

We do not ask you to create an account or give us your name or email on these pages. When you visit:

• Campaign information.If you arrive from an ad or link, the address may include tags such as utm_source or utm_campaign. These are kept in your browser's session storage for the length of your visit so we can tell which ad or campaign led to a visit or click. They are deleted when you close the tab.
• Click events.When you click a link to a partner site, an event is recorded with the page, the link's position and the campaign tags above.
• Standard technical data sent by any browser, such as IP address, device and browser type, used by the hosting provider to deliver and secure the site.

Advertising and analytics tools

Pages may use the Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms) and Google Tag Manager (Google) to measure visits and clicks and to improve ads. These services may set cookies or similar identifiers and process data under their own privacy policies: Meta and Google. You can control ad personalisation in your Meta and Google account settings and clear cookies in your browser.

Partner sites

When you click through to a partner, such as an affiliate programme's application page, you leave this site. The partner may record that you arrived through our referral link so they can credit us. Their own privacy policy applies from that point.

Legal basis and retention

We process this data for our legitimate interest in running and measuring this website and its advertising, and, where the law requires it, with your consent. Session campaign data is cleared when you close the tab. Data held by Meta or Google is retained according to their policies.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under UK and EU GDPR, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data, or to object to its processing. Contact us at hello@toolhonk.com. You can also complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top will change too.
